Small town garden

The dark, north facing garden was over grown with ivy and large climbers which visually decreased the space. The grey paving and undefined borders provided little excitement in this 6m x6.5m garden.

The new  colour of the stone and walls matched the interior of the house, which made the garden feel like an extension of the large interior space. The light colour on the walls opened the garden up and increased the space visually . The new raised beds not only provided definition to the borders but also added height to the garden and extra seating in this small space. Shade loving plants were selected and the current photos show the garden newly planted.
